In Hungary he organised the First International Aikido Camp in 1986, which was led by the first Japanese master to come to Hungary, Prof. Junichi Yoshida

Elsner Sensei has acquired a 6th Dan Aikikai Aikido master level  (some might say He can also use the Shihan title , but He’s too modest to do it so)  He was awarded his 1st Dan by Tamura Nobuyoshi, and was subsequently awarded his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Dan from  Shihan Fujita Masatake and still conciders Shihan Fujita being his Master. The 6th Dan was issued to Him in 2013 at the Kagamibiraki. All of these grades are registered in the Hombu  (Aikido World Headquarters) and recognised all around the world. As a Sensei, László Elsner also has a „National instructor” qualification which gives him the right to teach Aikido in Hungary.

Elsner Sensei has dedicated his life for promoting Aikido and passing on his knowledge to others. As well as training many generations of Aikido students, he has developed his own distinct style while remaining faithful to the teaching of the founder and Fujita Masatake. This style is characterised by its dynamism and simplicity. He has successfully fused the Japanese intellectuality with the trational European spirit. He realised at an early stage that Hungarian way of learning is rather different from the Japanese, which is why he created his own teaching method to make the Aikido’s and Budo’s rough and challenging way more straightforward, enjoyable and effective for European people.

Elsner Sensei also remained faithful to the Osensei’s spirit: Aikido is Budo, where love comes before anything else.

Elsner Sensei is still actively teaching in Tata and Komarom, as well as ensuring the technical quality of the Aikido Foundation Hungary in all belonging dojos.
